On July 20th, Tahlequah Family Vision Clinic hosted its annual Back to School Bash, a fantastic event dedicated to ensuring local school children have a healthy start to the year. This free event provided comprehensive eye exams for children, along with backpacks filled with essential school supplies, all aimed at making the transition back to school a little smoother.
The Bash wouldn't have been possible without the incredible generosity of numerous local businesses. A huge thank you goes out to Meigs Jewelry, Baker Furniture, Rachel Schloderer, Junie's Closet, BancFirst, State Farm - Mark Hodson, Tahlequah Lumber, Starbucks, Kroner & Baer, Brian Jackson, Craft Addict, Too Fond of Books, The Avenue Hair Salon, The Mane Society, Premiere Dentistry - Dr. Mark Smith, Polished Salon, The Straight Edge, and Triad Eye Institute. Your contributions of backpacks, school supplies, and financial support made a real difference in the lives of Tahlequah families.
Healthy vision plays a crucial role in a child's academic success. Early detection and treatment of vision problems can dramatically improve a child's learning experience. The Back to School Bash provided a fun and accessible way for families to ensure their children have the visual clarity needed to excel in school.
Special thanks go to the dedicated staff at Tahlequah Family Vision Clinic, who tirelessly volunteered their time and expertise to conduct the free eye exams. We also extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Molly Tebow and Dr. Matthew Endres, whose leadership and commitment to community well-being made this event a resounding success.
The smiles on the children's faces as they received their backpacks, enjoyed the inflatable slide, and cooled off with ice cream were truly heartwarming. The Back to School Bash perfectly embodied the spirit of community support and highlighted the importance of prioritizing children's health and education.
Thank you again to everyone who made this event a success!
